    Join Us For The County's Premier Community Event!
    The 12th Annual "A Taste of Effingham"
    Friday March 24th, 2023, 6-8pm
    Under the Tent at Crawford and N. Pine Streets, Downtown Springfield, Ga.
    Mix and mingle while sampling fine food from the area's best restaurants, and locally produced wines. Two drink tickets (beer, wine and soft drinks) are included.

    Jazz saxophonist Darryl Anderson will perform. Born and raised in Harlem NY, Darryl comes from a family of singers and musicians. He is a gifted musician, a song writer and producer. His love for music has allowed him the opportunity to be the opening act and to shared the stage with some of the worlds greatest gospel artists. His sound is a mixture of Kirk Whalum, Kenny G and some David Sanborn. His latest CD "You Are" features familiar gospel songs, done in a smooth jazz flavor.

    Downtown Street Party with the Emerald Empire Band
    Friday March 24th, 2023, 6-10pm
    Ulmer Park, Crawford and N. Pine Streets, Downtown Springfield
    Enjoy live music by a hot party band while you browse local shops, vendors and food trucks in Ulmer Park. Adjacent streets will be closed to traffic for safety.

    The Emerald Empire Band's highly talented musicians put on an amazing show. The band is the product of several professionally trained musicians coming together to create something unique. They have played alongside noteworthy artists such as Aretha Franklin and Jay Z.

    In addition to live music, there will be inflatables to entertain the little ones and axe throwing for everyone.

    Admission is free. Food, beer, wine and soft drinks will be available for purchase (valid proof of age required for beer purchase). Fun activities for the kids, too.
