  • The chamber is accepting nominations of upcoming community leaders for the 2022-2023 Leadership Effingham Class.

    Leadership Effingham was founded in 1989 to educate a select group of citizens each year in all facets of Effingham County.  In return, a trained pool of candidates will be ready for service when a vacancy arises on various non-profit boards, or government committees. Professionals in the areas of county government, hospital administration, public education, taxation, residential and economic development, community service and law enforcement will provide the course content.

    Graduates of Leadership Effingham have served, or are serving, in the Georgia House of Representatives, on the County Board of Commissioners and city councils, the chamber of commerce Board of Directors, Effingham County Schools, in the health system, and in important positions in our leading companies and agencies.

    Candidates must be prepared to attend all of the eight daytime courses to learn about Effingham County. Professionals in the areas of county government, hospital administration, public education, taxation, residential and economic development, community service and law enforcement will provide the course content. ´╗┐Participants will also collaborate with their class to complete a project of significance for the community.
