Government Affairs Liaison Program
The Government Affairs Liaison Program extends the Chamber’s advocacy reach by establishing designated points of contact with local and state officials. Each liaison is assigned to a specific elected body or office and serves as a relationship steward on behalf of the Chamber. Liaisons attend meetings when appropriate, monitor emerging issues, and provide structured updates to the Government Affairs Committee to ensure alignment with the Chamber’s legislative priorities.
The program strengthens consistent communication between the Chamber and public officials while increasing awareness of policy developments that may affect the local business climate. By maintaining regular dialogue and identifying opportunities or challenges early, the Liaison Program helps position the Chamber as proactive, informed, and engaged.
