    Event Description:

    Effingham Day at the Capital will be held on January 31 and February 1, 2022. Residents of Effingham will gather in Atlanta to advocate for our community. Plans, at this point, are as follows:

    **Please Note: Time Change to 1pm for GDOT Meeting** There is a GDOT meeting planned on Monday, January 31. With a planned meeting time of 1pm, you can drive up that morning and still only incur one night of hotel expenses. It is very important that we have a large representation at the GDOT meeting to ensure they understand our transportation needs and to learn the status of local projects. If you plan to attend, please notify the Chamber at (912)754-3301 so that we can furnish your name to security to get pre-clearance in the building. 

    We will also have a reception from 6pm ? 9pm on the evening of Monday, January 31 at The Hyatt Regency Atlanta. This reception in the Regency Ballroom will be open to all Effingham County attendees and invited guests recommended by our local state representatives. Be aware of COVID precautions at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta.

    On Tuesday morning February 1, Effingham Day at the Capital continues at 8:30am with a buffet breakfast at the Floyd Building and to hear from state leaders which we hope will include the Governor and Lieutenant Governor. The breakfast should adjourn by 10:30am and everyone can be on the road back to Effingham or you can schedule other meetings.

    Tickets to the 2022 Effingham Day at the Capital are $155 and can be purchased online here,

    Our room block at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta has filled. Rooms are available at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis, directly across the street. Make reservations here. Those staying at either hotel can use the bus transportation provided between the Hyatt Regency and the Floyd Building on Tuesday morning.

    Platinum Level Sponsorship ($5,000): Includes 4 registrations. Sponsor logo on all event materials going forward. We will also include your logo on a sponsor card that will be included in gifts that will be given to state legislators.
