    Get to know the candidates for the county Board of Education District 2 seat in an online forum on Tuesday, October 12, 6:00pm presented by the Effingham County Chamber of Commerce and the Effingham Herald. The forum will be streamed live on the chamber of commerce?s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/EffinghamChamber). It will also be uploaded to the chamber's YouTube page (Effingham Chamber)

    A special election shall be held in Effingham County to fulfill the unexpired term in the office of the Board of Education, District 2, caused by the resignation of Troy Alford. The special election will be held on November 2, 2021. Candidates for the Effingham County Board of Education District 2 seat are Jan Landing and Jeff Schielke.
