Get to know the candidates for Effingham County Board of Commissioners at in-person Candidates Forums on Thursday, October 13, beginning at 6:30pm at South Effingham High School Auditorium, 1220 Noel C. Conaway Road, Guyton, GA 31312. The forums are presented by the Effingham County Chamber of Commerce and the Effingham Herald. Admission is free.
All the candidates have been invited to participate. The forums will be streamed live on the chamber of commerce's Facebook page (
www.facebook.com/EffinghamChamber). They will also be uploaded to the chamber's YouTube page (Effingham Chamber)
The forums will be moderated by Mark Lastinger, Editor of the Effingham Herald, who will ask all questions. Questions can be submitted by the audience, to be screened by the moderator for appropriateness, relevance, and time concerns
The forums will be held on the following schedule:
- 6:30pm: Commission District 2 Forum (Roger Burdette and Barry Thompson)
- 7:20pm: Commission District 3 Forum (Jamie DeLoach and Richard DM Garvin)
- 7:50pm: Commission District 5 Forum (Phil Kieffer and Delmons White)
