Third Annual Taste of Effingham
'A Taste o' the Green'
Dining in Effingham County offers more choices than ever and the Effingham County Chamber of Commerce will help celebrate and showcase that variety at the Second Annual Taste of Effingham. The idea is to come when you want, eat what you want and leave when you want. The Taste of Effingham will be held at the Effingham County Recreation Department Gym on Highway 119 in Springfield on Thursday, March 7 from 5 to 7 PM.
Tickets will cost $15 for 1 or $25 for 2.
Live music by nationally known Irish singer, Harry O'Donoghue and friends, will get your toes tapping. The event will also entail a silent auction with great vacation getaways, fabulous art and more! The proceeds will go to building our Events and Tourism program. If you would like to donate an item for the silent auction, please contact the Chamber.
There is no fee for restaurants to sign up. Each restaurant selects a food item that typifies the dining experience there and prepares enough for 400+ people to sample - this is NOT a full meal - just a sample - a 'taste' of your restaurant's offerings. It can be an entree' or a dessert. Because you prepare your foods beforehand and present them or keep them warm, it doesn't take a large number of staff away from your business. What a great way to market your restaurant to a new audience. If you are a restaurant and have not registered to participate, call the Chamber today!
If you would be interested in sponsoring the second annual Taste of Effingham, look over our Sponsorship information and contact the Chamber for more information. There are sponsorship levels from $250 up to $2000 and each level gets a number of tickets to the event that you can give to clients or staff (see column on left).
All our restaurants and sponsors will be featured in a massive advertising campaign featuring television spots over the Savannah Comcast Cable coverage as well as saturation advertising in both of Effingham's local newspapers, the Effingham Herald and Effingham NOW/Savannah Morning News.
If you would like any additional information, please feel free to email ricklott(at)effinghamcounty.com or call the Chamber at (912) 754-3301.
