Quality of Life Just a short drive from the heart of Georgia’s Low Country, the pace is just a little bit slower, the air a little bit sweeter, and the community just a little more like home.  Grown from humble, hardworking roots, Effingham County flourishes as one of Georgia’s premiere commercial and residential areas.

Just as serenely as the Savannah and Ogeechee rivers flow around Effingham County, so does life flow through our borders.  People come to Effingham for its peacefulness, where neighbors know each other and lend a helping hand whenever it’s needed.

Effingham is a place where history and progress peacefully coexist, allowing residents to remember how things used to be while keeping an eye firmly on the future.  It’s this unique combination along with a focus on family, quality of life and balanced growth that have made Effingham one of the top 20 fastest growing counties in the nation.
